Taxi / Private Hire Training by Bfluent Southampton

Bfluent offers taxi training to become a licensed Hackney or private hire driver with the BTEC Introduction to the Role of Professional Taxi and Private Hire Driver Level 2

If you want to apply to become a licensed Hackney or private hire driver in Southampton with Southampton City Council or with many other Local Authorities then you will need to enrol in, complete and pass a BTEC.

Bfluent can now offer The Taxi BTEC online.
You must contact us to arrange an online assessment which will take place via the Zoom platform - see above for details of Zoom Video Confercing. The Bfluent online Taxi BTEC assessment will be conducted with one of our tutors and once you have completed this you can enrol on the course. The course costs £280 and payment is made by bank transfer - please contact us for details.

You will be emailed an enrolment letter which you can use to start your application process at the local taxi and private hire licensing authority. You will be emailed reading material and then you will take part in 3 online lessons of about 1.5 hours to check your understanding of the reading material. Once you have completed the Bfluent Taxi BTEC online lessons you will come to our office to sit the examinations.

Bfluent Online Taxi BTEC Examinations
There are 9 multiple choice online taxi BTEC computer based examinations. You have to choose either A, B, C or D.

You will come to our premises and sit the examination in isolation. You will not have to see anyone, you will be monitored and communicated with by CCTV and the will always be someone on hand in another room nearby for emergencies but you will not have to come into contact with any people. We will give a strict protocol to follow that will ensure that everyone is kept safe.

Your Bfluent online course results will be emailed to you 2 weeks later or as soon as the awarding body notifies us and, if you are successful, your certificate will be posted to you once we have received it.

If you fail any of the Bfluent online Taxi BTEC examinations then you just come back on another day to re-sit the examination - there is no further cost.
