Functional Skills Training by Bfluent Southampton

You will study Functional Skills English in weekly lessons with your tutor where you will be given feedback on the previous assignment and be given tuition in the skills and knowledge for the following assignment.

Assignments will be based on the content of the functional skills syllabus.

Once you have completed all your assignments you will then sit your examinations. It is possible to sit the examinations online or you can attend our centre to sit your examinations at a time to suit you.

We have a limited number of free* places on these courses if you meet the criteria.

The broad topics covered in the Level 1 & 2 Syllabus are:

Speaking listening and communicating: Conducting discussions, how to deliver a presentation Improving listening skills
Writing Skills include: Formal emails, reports, articles, narratives, instructions, information, descriptions
Reading: Texts include a range of straightforward texts on a range of topics and of varying lengths that instruct, describe, explain and persuade
